Congrats on your first meme – very nice one at that!
Laughed out loud when you said you think too much then followed up by saying you knew you think too much.
I’m with you about family – I love the family I had when I grew up, but I hope to be more supportive when I start my own family.
Hammocks are awesome, aren’t they?

Thank you for sharing your meme. I see a kindred spirit in your words as you seem to be a very sensitive and sensuous person like me.
One thing I just can’t relate to though is how you can tie a knot in a cherry stem with your tongue!!??
If you come to Adelaide South Australia there is an organic pizza cafe called the Goodlife that also serves gluten free pizzas – there was a photo of one in today’s newspaper and it looked scrumptious.

Hi Davina – you can tie a knot in cherry stem with your tongue?
I’m glad you can hear the birds singing where you are.
You have a little wait for springtime over there – ours is just around the corner. Maybe you could pop over to Melbourne for some spring after having pizza in Adelaide.

Hi Al. I love hammocks! If all goes as planned, I will be swinging in one in about 2 weeks. Sigh…
Hello Leanne. I can’t believe that I did that with the cherry stem either. A friend told me about it while we were eating cherries and I decided to try. Must have been a case of beginner’s luck.
Hiya Robin. I know… spring is a long way away. We’ve got about another month of good weather left. Spring in Melbourne… ahh, sounds like a good idea!

Very nice meme you’ve written. It just shows how much in touch with yourself you are! I also caught the one about “I can tie a knot in a cherry stem with my tongue”….wow…this is quite an accomplishment!!

Davina,
I enjoyed getting to know you better through this meme. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Davina,
Thanks for sharing. I’m a thinker too, and a cribbage player. My great uncle taught us kids when we were very young. Hence, we all grew up loving math.

I want to comment, but don’t want to get tagged, so I hesitated.
It’s not that I don’t want to PLAY, but funny, the tagging and playing online seems to keep me in front of the machine that keeps me from playing enough.
Davina, thank you for sharing your insides with the outsides of us. Blessings!

Hi Evelyn. Thank you. I’m an accomplished something anyway
Hey Lillie. You are welcome. I had a blast! Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Barbara. So you love math and are creative too. A winning combination!
Hello Harmony. Don’t worry I won’t tag you
Boy can I relate to that “in front of the machine” comment!

Hi Davina – This is brilliant. Thanks for sharing – I’m loving reading this series of memes.
Some of these things I already realised about you. But others surprised me.
I can really identify with this one: I reget that my family is not more supportive of each other.
But I’m curious about the thunder making you smile? Why? Aren’t you scared of it.
And how do you manage to do that cherry knotting thing with your tongue?
August 20, 2008 at 6:20 pm
Natural
hmm we have a lot in common. i can’t do the cherry stem thing, but i can do a lot of other things with it.
i think too much too and i know i think too much. i can’t stop thinking. meditating – the clearing of your mind stuff is not for me because i’d be cheating by thinking.
i’m scared of thunder. when i was younger i thought it was god shooting (his gun) at me. now i know it’s god shooting his gun at me.
i love being a comedian too. i can’t turn it off.
I need more support than I am willing to admit. – me too.
do you have a birthmark on your left leg? we’re related. lol

I’ve heard of people being able to tie a cherry stem with their tongue, but I’ll believe it when I see it
I think too much too, I hate gossip, and I love hammocks. I think that basically you just need to have three things in common with someone to be able to get along splendidly.

“I can tie a knot in a cherry stem with my tongue.” I am SERIOUSLY impressed with this one.
Love the way you made it clear that you think too much. I agree: thinking too much is not a good thing.
It is very nice to get to know you better!
As for mems, yes I’ve been tagged a few times. Generally I don’t mind playing, but I stopped tagging others because I know that many bloggers dislike memes.

Did I thank you for the link? I didn’t?? Well THANK YOU. Much appreciated.

“I think too much.
I know I think too much.
I have too many thoughts.
I wish I didn’t think so much.”
Best four lines! I love how self-aware you are, but you still come at things with a sense of humor.

Hi Davina,
I also would like to thank you for the link. This was a great meme. I’m happy to know you better now. It seems we share a lot of traits and I to see a kindred spirit in you.
Although like Leanne I can’t fathom how you did that cherry trick. Between you and Cath we have ourselves a couple of nimble people.
I loved the following:
I dance when I’m happy.
I sing when I’m happy.
I cry when I’m happy too.
Like you, I love hammocks. I used to have a sit in one a few years back here on my veranda, but it eventually wore out because I sat in it for hours every day while gazing into the back garden, watching the wild birds.

You can tie a knot in a cherry stem with your tongue? Lord, that’s talent. I love hammocks. The Lion and I have a huge two person one in the backyard under a tree. It’s so peaceful.
As for memes, I’m selective. If I think it will cause me to really learn something about myself..like this one, and the 6 word description of myself…then yes. Otherwise, no, I consider them to be the same as chain letters.
Interestingly, this meme took off like wild fire. I think it’s because it provides a person will incredible insight into themselves.

Hi Cath. You made me laugh – thanks. I made the same mistake a while back. I was commenting on someone’s blog and I called them by the name of the person’s whose blog I was just on. Worst thing was that I didn’t catch it like you did.
I love thunderstorms — the louder the thunder the better!
Hi Natural. I like comedians so we’d probably get along well. I don’t have a birthmark on my left leg, but I do have one on my right leg.
Hey Marelisa. So we could have a great time swinging in hammocks while we think too hard about how we hate gossip
Hi Vered. You’re welcome for the link! I did that thing with the cherry a while ago. I might have to revise my meme to “I can no longer tie a knot in a cherry stem with my tongue”
Hi there Sara. Yes, if I couldn’t laugh at myself I’d be in a lot of trouble. Hope you are feeling better.
Hi Monika. You are welcome, and I see a kindred spirit in you too. Last year I went camping about 3 times and every time the mosquitoes were so bad I couldn’t use the hammock. Frustrating!
Hi Panther. I haven’t tried a two person hammock. That would be an experience!
I’d like to know… if you get tagged what’s the worst that can happen if you don’t participate… any ideas?

Hi Davina – I don’t feel so bad now, knowing you’ve done it too. I realised as soon as I pressed the send button but I couldn’t press stop in time.

Simon
Hi Davina – You say: “if you get tagged what’s the worst that can happen if you don’t participate… any ideas?” The worst thing that can happen is that you feel guilty. Which of course is something you impose on yourself, like so much of the unpleasantness in this world. Which reminds me of a quote somebody showed me recently:
“My life has been filled with terrible misfortune, most of which never happened.” – Montaigne
If you need further reassurance: I hardly ever respond to memes – and I’m still alive.
Nice meme though – and thanks for visiting my blog recently.

Hi again Cath. I’d install that “edit plug-in”, but I have to wait until I move to a hosted site. I’ll do it just for you when the times comes. I’m kicking myself now, cause what I could have done before is edit the comment for you myself. Not too swift am I?
Hi there Simon. Nice to see you here. Guilt is a funny thing isn’t it? You give me hope though because you are still alive and well despite not answering to being tagged
August 25, 2008 at 9:04 am

Hi Davina – no worries. I really need to get round to installing that too. There’s just so many things to do and so little time. I have plugins on my blog that I don’t use because I don’t really understand what they do.

I’ve been tagged before but I’ve only responded to one of them.
I tend to over think a lot too.

Hi Chris. Thanks for your comment. I promise I won’t tag you; now you don’t have to think about it either
